Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy of Domme. Her parents, who work as dentists and teacher in a school, helped and encouraged her in her initial enthusiasm for theater and drama. It was her initial desire of becoming a specialist in monkeys was soon replaced by a desire to further study drama and theatre. In her early years, her rise to stardom was fast and punctuated by the beginning of her achievement. When she completed her studies in 1998 she participated in the French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning her acting career with a bang. Tautou, who attended the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a young girl and studied there at school she has renounced her Catholic upbringing. The model pursued her career in addition to her acting work and is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel frequently referred to as the Chanel Muse. She also has a serious photographic passion and has recently produced an exhibition of her work for the Arles Festival in France under the title Superficial. She is a photographer who focuses on stars, fame and press that scrutinized her after her fame-making debut with Amelie. Additionally, there are some photographs of her own self. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her key role in Le Fabuleux Destin of Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been a box office hit internationally and was a cult hit at numerous international awards ceremonies. It is currently one of the top-performing French film across the US. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou went on to star in several films, which included British dramas, like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. In addition, she was a part of Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
